What I’d Do In 2019 – Part #4

This is the conclusion of a 4-part series about what I’d do in 2019 to grow my MLM business – aka home-based business or network marketing business. Let me state a couple things: When I say “grow,” I don’t mean to add a couple hundred bucks a month to my commission check by the end of the year. You can do that, but that’s not what this is about. This is about going full time, taking it to 5-figures a month and beyond. While I say this is for 2019, I wrote a very similar … Read more

What I’d Do In 2019 – Part #2

Yesterday I blogged about responding to questions about what is working and what is the best way to grow your business in 2019. Yesterday I said I would use email marketing as part of my system. Done right, it is a great way to add people to your pipeline. Done wrong, and it’s a waste of time and money. If you want information about that, just go here. Today I want to tell you what my primary way of building a business would be. This is where I would sink at least 50% of my … Read more

Want To Give Up :-(

I was on my Twitter account this morning and John Maxwell was quoting Thomas Edison. Here is what it said: “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” Giving up. It can be defined in two ways. One is positive, the other is negative. First the positive: Giving up – removing those things in your life that are keeping you from being all you can be – i.e. you are giving up certain types of foods or unhealthy habits. Now the negative … Read more

Are You A Forward Thinker?

I own my own business, blog, consult, and create my own living. I made a decision about the life I wanted to live, and then found work and created work that would accommodate my lifestyle. It’s a simple idea that is forward thinking… not backward thinking. Backward thinking (imo) is where you go find a job, or even start a business, and then somehow live your life and create your identity around your job. Life is too short and time too precious for me to live backwards. I have fun and enjoy my family and … Read more

My New Favorite Business Book

To date, the book that has had the biggest impact on me as an entrepreneur is Robert Kiyosaki’s, “Rich Dad Poor Dad.” It certainly isn’t the most profound or best book ever written, but it has had the biggest impact. Why? Because it was written in a language I could understand and for the first time I saw that I could do many of the things that had been swirling in my head.  I’ve read many other books, but this one was always at the top of my list. I’ve read it several times. My … Read more

Why the name, “Ready, Set, Leads?”

Why do we have the company name, “Ready, Set, Leads?” We could have easily used some name with MLM Leads in it to make it obvious what our company was about. Running is Just Like Network Marketing

I’m a runner. I’m not fast, but I’m a runner. I’ll probably never qualify for the Boston Marathon, but I’m a runner. I used to hate running, but now I love it. I didn’t start running as a sport until April, 2011. I couldn’t run 2 minutes without fighting for oxygen. By Memorial Day I ran my first 5K. By September I ran my first 10K, and by Thanksgiving I ran my first half-marathon. Rain, sun, cold, or heat, I run. Not every day is a good running day. Some days I struggle. Most days … Read more
